NEW! – High-viz Plank End Graphics
Inspired by the port and starboard lights on fighter jets, we engineered these high-visibility flourescent graphics to fit on the end of the DN ice boat plank. The port size is brilliant fluorescent red, and the starboard side is fluorescent green, seen below. Unlike the hull safety stripes, the fluorescent plank end panels can be seen 360°. No matter what your point of sail, your competitors will know immediately whether you’re on port or starboard, giving you each more time to keep clear and avoid a high-speed collision. We can scale these up to fit any other iceboat class, or make adjustments – like adding a panel for the top of your runner.

Hull Safety Stripes
Long – Complies with IDNIYRA Proposal 10, which didn’t pass but received a large number of votes. The fluorescent green stripe is applied to the starboard side and the fluorescent red stripe is applied to the port side. Four Styles are available: Regular is about 40″; Tiger Teeth is 43″; Fade is 43″ and Race Flag is 46″. These stripes are designed for Goodwin-plan boats , but you can trim them for almost any hull with an X-acto knife or razor blade.

Medium – These stripes don’t meet Proposal 10, but greatly increase visibility. The fluorescent green stripe is applied to the starboard side and the fluorescent red stripe is applied to the port side.

Short – The Regular style is about 12″ long, the others range from 16″ to 28″.

Hull Panel Safety Graphics – Any of the graphics on our DN Hull Graphics page can be selected in a flourescent red (port) and green (starboard) combination for extra safety.
Mast Stripes
Mast Tip stripes – Add visibility with fluorescent red and green stripes for the tip of your mast. These stripes are 36″ long.
Mast Base stripes – Apply these to the sides of your mast near the base to give great visibility to other sailors. These fluorescent red and green stripes extend from the base to the just below the boom jaws and include a cut-out area for the tack/boom jaws and halyard fairlead.
Boom Stripes
Boom stripes – The wide flat sections of Forstner extrusions, wood booms, and even the curved sections of other extrusions are a great place for adding high-visibility fluorescent stripes for port and starboard.
The “short” boom stripes are approximately 1.75″ tall and 24″ long. Apply them in all one section or cut them into sections to apply part to the fore and aft sections of the boom. Just $10 for the set.
The “long” stripes measure 1.75″ x 96″ and are delivered in two sections – long enough for the entire boom. $25 per set.
